Incidents
Track incidents and specific details about incidents including types and frequencies, notes, follow up notes and more.
This feature is useful in providing information so ResiDex can automatically compile data on your company's incident history and statistics.
How to Record an Incident
Go to the list of Residents on the Home tab. Select the dropdown list by the Resident you wish to record an incident for. Select “Incidents” from the option list; this launches the “Resident Incident History” screen.
- To Record a new Incident, press the New Button at the top of the screen, or press Control + N; This launches a new screen
- Incident Type: Select an Incident Type from the drop-down list; This fills in the rest of the screen with questions customized for that Incident Type.
- Date: Today’s Date defaults into this field; it can be changed if you are reporting an incident from a previous day.
- Time: Enter the time that the incident happened.
- Recorded By: if you did not originally record the incident, select the name of the staff member who originally did record the incident.
What remains are the questions; these are customized per incident type.
Answer the questions to the best of your ability. Incidents may be edited within a small period of time after they are originally entered – the length of the editing period depends on your facility’s policies, in addition to your State & County’s regulations (if any).
After answering all of the questions, press the Save button (at the top of bottom of the screen). After saving the incident, it shows up on the Incident History screen.
Incident Follow Up Notes
Follow-Up Notes allow you to record additional information about a previous incident, measures that have been taken to prevent the incident from re-occurring, and status updates about the resident’s condition.
If you wish to enter a Follow-Up Note for an incident at any time, navigate to the Incident History Screen of the Resident you wish to enter the note for. Click the “Add Follow-up Note” Button next to the appropriate incident, and type out your note.
