Entering Services

Entering your Residents’ services in ResiDex allows you to keep a digital record of the services  you are providing, makes recapping those services quick and easy, and allows ResiDex to autom atically generate many reports.

How to Enter a Service for a Resident

From the Home Tab, view your list of Residents.

  • Open the Resident Profile by pressing the "Go" button by a resident's name

  • Press the “Services” Button  at the bottom of the Profile screen

  • Press the “New” Button at the top of the screen, or press Control + N

  • Select the service name from the option list or start typing the service name and select it from the list

  • Enter the Effective Date - the date the Service will start being provided

  • Optionally enter an End Date - this is only used if the service is only going to be performed for a period of time

  • The status field will default in as "Ongoing" - you will edit this field only when the service is going to be discontinued

  • Time -  enter the time of day the service will be provided. You can specify general times  (i.e. “AM,” “PM,” or “Overnight”),  or you can specify a specific time the service will be provided (i.e. “9:30 AM,” or “8:00 PM”).  If you don’t know when to schedule it, you can temporarily schedule the Service Time to be “To Schedule.”  If the service will be provided multiple times a day, you will create a new Service for each time of day it will be provided.

  • Estimated Minutes - Enter in this field an estimate of how long this task will take to provide

  • Days - By clicking on this field you can specify what days this service will be provided. If it is to be provided on certain days of the week, you can check the appropriate boxes. If it is to be scheduled every __ days, you can specify how many days in between. You can also pull down more specialized times from the drop down list “Other.” If the task is to be provided every day, you can either check all of the “Days of the Week” check boxes, or select “Daily” from the “Other” menu.

  • Select the provider you wish to perform the task (if you facility uses the "Alternate" provider feature, you may specify the alternate provider in the appropriate field.

  • Task Details - You may add additional resident specific task details that will show up on the daily assignment or Today screen

  • When you are done entering the Service Details, you can hit the “Save” Button at the top of the screen
