Converting a Prospect to a Resident
How to convert a prospect entered in ProsPex to a resident in ResiDex
The process of converting a Prospect to a Resident is actually exactly the same as the process of changing a Prospect's status, be it Lead, Wait List, Preferred Wait List, etc.
To convert a Prospect to a Resident
- Start out at the desired Prospect's Profile screen.
- Go the the Prospect's Status drop-down menu
- Change the Status from whatever it is at presently, to "Resident"
- You will be asked if you are sure you want to convert the Prospect to a Resident, click "OK"
- You will be then asked to enter some more information. All fields that are listed in Bold text are required:
- Resident Name - you can have a Prospect listed without knowing their name, but to add a Resident you need their full name.
- Start of Care - You want to enter the date when they will officially become a resident.
- Campus / Community - If you have multiple campuses or communities, you need to select which ones your new resident will be moving into. You also have to specify your new resident's room number
- Address - what unit your new Resident will be moving into
- Case Manager - who will be the case manager for this Resident?
- Lastly, select the housing type this new Resident will have.
Thats it! After you do all these steps, and hit the "Convert Prospect To Resident" button, they will no longer appear on your Prospect list, and will begin to appear on your Resident List. All of the information you had added to this person as a Prospect will be carried over to their Resident Profile!
