Task Manager

The Task Manager will increase your effectiveness at achieving your goals, allow you to maintain your tasks and the tasks of your Staff members, who can log in to see what tasks that they are assigned to do.

 

There are a number of benefits associated with using the Task Manager:

  1. Maintain an infinite set of tasks for all staff members.
  2. Multiple ways to view, sort and filter open and or closed tasks
  3. Manage tasks associated with individuals such as Prospects, Residents, or Contacts
  4. Easy task prioritization
  5. Easily view task completion summaries, ie which tasks were completed by which staff, reports on statuses of different task categories and more

How to Use the Task Manager

  • Use the Keyboard Shortcut (Control + Shift + F12), or
  • From the Help menu option select Task Manager
Your tasks will all be listed when you log into the Task Manager.
  • Past Due tasks will have a red background in the date field
  • Tasks due today will have a green background in the date field
  • Tasks due tomorrow will have a peach colored background in the date field
You can search for a task with the search field, or filter  your tasks by controls on the top of the screen, to view:
  • All of your open tasks
  • All of your closed tasks
  • All of your open and closed tasks
  • Your tasks that have been added, altered or closed in the last 24 hours
  • Your tasks from the previous week
  • You may also view the tasks of your other staff members
You can also sort your task screen by right clicking on any column in your task field, and selecting "Sort Ascending," "Sort Descending," or "Filter by Selection" to sort your task list alphabetically (or reverse alphabetically) or to view only tasks that match what you have selected

View or Edit details for any task

  • Click anywhere on a task's row, and that task's details will open a panel on the right side of the screen.
  • Here you can set the due date, time, estimated minutes to complete, task type, the task, the staff member it is assigned to, associated contacts, notes and more.

To Create a New Task

  • Press the New Button, or Control N
  • Fill the task details, including date, Task, and any other details you may find relevant including Time, estimated minutes, contact, notes and more.
  • By default a new task will be assigned to you - you can change the entry in the Staff dropdown list to assign the task to someone else
