Notes

You can record notes about your residents in ResiDex, which is useful for documenting information about:

  • Resident health
  • Resident behavior
  • Resident progress
  • Communicating resident status changes or other information to other staff members
  • Entering details discussed in a care conference

How to Enter a Note

Go to the list of Residents on the Home tab.

  • Open the Resident Profile
  • Select "Notes" from the Resident Profile Option list
  • Press the New Button or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + N
  • Enter the Note Date and Type

The note type is NOT required, however, you may benefit from selecting a note type.  After selecting a note type, you will be able to print out notes of a type within a date range.

If you use the note type "Care Conference" you will be able to generate a "Care Conference Calendar" Report which will list all resident names and the date of their last care conference".  The date that will generate will be the last note date entered of the type "Care Conference".

How to Strike a Note

When you enter a Resident Note, the person who entered the note is able to edit it for 1 day. After that, if changes need to be made to the note, you will have to "Strike" the note, and add a new one. Striking a note cannot be undone

  • Go to the Resident Notes screen, and find the note you wish to strike
  • Click on the note; the side panel will open and have all that note's details
  • Click in the "Strike" box and click save

Note: This cannot be undone
