Set up Point Calculation

 

ResiDex has the ability to calculate points per service. If your facility uses a point system to calculate a care level, this will be helpful for you.

If your facility does not currently have a method of calculating points, ResiDex has our own system. Extensive testing was done to calculate the average number of minutes for services. Based on the average minutes for each service and the calculation below, each service is assigned a “Point Value”.

 

 

The point value for each service was calculated based on the following method:

  • Home Health Aide Service (HHA) – 4 minutes = 1 point

  • Nurse Service – 2 minutes = 1 point

If your facility has a “Fixed” point value for each service, we will also explain how to specify that value.

To Turn on Auto Point Calculation

  • From the Setup Tab, Click Campus

  • Click Campus (from the options on the right)

  • On the RIGHT side of the screen – select an option for Calculate Levels

Please be aware; If you change the points and your database is shared, the points will change for every resident that has that service in EVERY CAMPUS

Specify Points per Service based on minutes

  • From the Setup Tab, Click Service List (from the column on the left)

  • Select Global Service List (from the options on the right)
  • Click on one of the services
  • Verify that the service has the Charge Type – Free
  • Enter the number of point in the Points/min field

 

Specify Points per Service based on a fixed point value

Note: To enter the point value for a given service, a user will need Staff Role #6 - Global Service List

  • From the Setup Tab, Click Service List (from the column on the left)
  • Select Global Service List (from the options on the right)
  • Click on one of the services
  • Verify that the service has the Charge Type – Free
  • Enter the number of points in the Points/Fixed – field
