Set up Care Packages
How to use Care Packages in ResiDex - Care Packages are typically a monthly or daily package that is usually based on a care level or points system.
A Resident may have only one Care package at a time
To Create Care Packages
- Click the Billing Tab and select Rates – Packages (Levels)
- Click New
- Enter the package name and description (Note – this can be the same as the package name OR if you use a point calculation, you and enter a point range such as 0-25 points)
- Enter the rate and the rate period (daily or monthly)
Add a Care Package for a Resident
- From the Resident List, Click the “Go Button” to open a resident profile
- Verify the Billing Option on the Profile is set to "Care Package"
- Click on the “Fees and Payers” button
- Select the Package from the “Package (Level)” option list
- Enter the effective date for the package to begin
NOTE – If a resident is “grandfathered” or has a special adjusted care package rate, you may manually edit the package rate for the individual resident
To edit the Care Package Rate from the Billing Tab:
- Select Rates – Packages (level)
- Type over the current package rate
- Press Tab to move through the fields
- If someone is currently charged that care package rate, an effective date box will appear (after pressing the tab key about 3 times
- Enter the effective date and press “OK” to close the screen
